ℹ️ What is GILLBITE?

GILLBITE is a marketplace platform that connects you with independent kitchens and drivers. We do NOT prepare food or make deliveries ourselves.

Platform Understanding

I understand GILLBITE is a marketplace platform only. Kitchens are independent businesses responsible for their own food quality and safety.

Delivery Understanding

I understand drivers are independent contractors, not GILLBITE employees. Delivery times are estimates only.

Payment Authorization

I authorize GILLBITE to process payments on behalf of kitchens through our secure payment provider (Stripe).

Terms & Privacy

I have read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

⚠️ Important Legal Notice

As a kitchen partner, you are 100% responsible for your food safety, quality, hygiene, taxes, insurance, and legal compliance. GILLBITE provides the platform only and accepts NO liability for your business operations.

🍽️ Food Safety Responsibility

I am 100% responsible for food safety, hygiene, and quality. I have appropriate food hygiene certification where required by law.

💰 Tax Responsibility

I am responsible for my own taxes, VAT registration (if applicable), and financial records. GILLBITE provides reports to HELP but does NOT provide tax advice.

🛡️ Insurance & Licensing

I have appropriate business insurance and all required licenses/registrations to operate my food business legally.

⚖️ Platform Status

I understand GILLBITE is a platform/marketplace only and is NOT responsible for my food, staff, delivery issues, or any business losses.

🤝 Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless GILLBITE from any claims arising from my food, business operations, or customer complaints.

💳 Fee Agreement

I understand the fee structure: 3 months FREE, then gradual increase to maximum 5%. I agree to pay platform fees on time.

I have read and accept the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Partner Agreement.

⚠️ Independent Contractor Notice

As a driver, you are an independent contractor, NOT an employee of GILLBITE. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and vehicle maintenance.

👤 Independent Contractor

I understand I am an independent contractor, NOT an employee. I have no employment rights from GILLBITE and am responsible for my own taxes and National Insurance.

🚗 Vehicle & Insurance

I have a roadworthy vehicle, valid license, and appropriate insurance for delivery work. I maintain my vehicle at my own expense.

📦 Delivery Responsibility

I am responsible for safe, timely delivery and professional customer interaction. I accept liability for any delivery issues caused by me.

💵 Cash Handling

If handling cash orders, I will return all cash to the kitchen. I understand my payment card will be charged if cash is not returned.

💰 Fee Understanding

I understand: 5% platform fee on delivery earnings (NOT tips), 20p bank transfer fee per withdrawal. Tips are 100% mine with 0% fee.

🛡️ Indemnification

I agree to indemnify GILLBITE against any claims arising from accidents, delivery issues, or my conduct while delivering.
